What is the purpose of a psychological evaluation?
Educational psychological evaluations can help clarify learning differences, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emotional or behavioral challenges, and other factors affecting school success. Results are used to guide educational planning, support eligibility for academic accommodations or special education services (such as IEPs or 504 plans), and inform treatment or intervention recommendations.

Mrs. Amanda B. Hasty,
LCMHC, MSE
Originally from Michigan, I moved south in 2006. I currently live in Lake Wylie, SC with my husband and two children. I have been a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) for the past 5 years. During that time, my attention focused on clients with ADHD and ASD. I also have a master’s degree in Special Education and over 22 years of experience working with children and families in an educational setting. My background includes completing comprehensive psychological evaluations for educational and intervention purposes, helping to clarify strengths, challenges, and learning needs.
I believe meaningful progress happens through collaboration. I work closely with individuals, families, schools, and other professionals to develop thoughtful, individualized plans that support growth and long-term success. My approach is strengths-based, compassionate, and focused on helping each individual build confidence, develop skills, and reach their full potential.
